The Native Plant Nursery Opens for the Season Door Landscape & Nursery, 6329 Highway 42, Egg Harbor, WI The native plant nursery is open daily 9—4 from May 1st to October 31st. We feature over 185 species of native plants, stone, mulch, topsoil & 100% organic leaf compost. Stop in to see our demonstration gardens, which include a certified monarch waystation.

Creating a Native Landscape by Cliff Orsted The Clearing Folk School Class #94 (9am—12pm) The Schoolhouse Main Studio at the Clearing in Ellison Bay, WI In this class you will learn how to assess and select what native plants are appropriate for your landscape and personal aesthetic. Included is an overview of the different kinds of native plants available, their uses, ecological benefits, principles of design to assist in creating a harmonious landscape that integrates it with its natural surroundings, practical information from site preparation through establishment considerations; plus how to integrate native plants into an existing traditional ornamental landscape. Cliff owns a landscape company & nursery specializing in the creation of sustainable landscapes using native plants and will share his knowledge with you.
